P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-establish organisation based in South Lanarkshire to recruit a Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a key role within the organisation and will suit an ambitious Accountant with a background in Practice who is keen for growth and progression. This role will offer 1 or 2 days hybrid working per week. Responsibilities: Managing the full finance function from start to finish Managing all aspects of the firm's accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Prepare accurate and timely financial statements Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and employment regulations Work closely with clients to provide expert advice and solutions tailored to their unique needs Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles. Budgeting and financial forecasting to support the firm's strategic objectives Implement cost-saving measures to improve the firm's financial efficiency Skills and Experience: ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA qualification Previous accounting experience ideally within Practice or Financial Services Strong understanding of UK GAAP and relevant tax legislation Proficient in accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across all departments My client offers an excellent package, including hybrid working and an attractive bonus.
