Want to do the best work of your life? Playing your part in making a big difference to the environment and communities we serve. Our people make Severn Trent a truly exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine. Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care. Now on to the opportunity… We’re looking for a Service Delivery Operations, also known as a Regional Property Inspector, to help us as we do so. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW In short, this role is to provide county-based operational site support. You’ll be primarily focusing on providing routine inspection and Worksafe audits for the wholesale operational sites but also on Facility Managed (FM) Sites and Visitor Experience Sites, meaning no two days are the same. The regular site inspections and Worksafe audits will cover all assets owned and maintained by Estates including gates, fences, buildings, structures, trees, and associated land / ground. We pride ourselves in ensuring that our customers and employees are safe whenever they’re at one of our many sites; one of the ways we ensure this is at its highest standard is through you in this role. A key attribute needed for this role is being able to have good stakeholder engagement across all company levels. This will help you to proactively promote the STW health and safety culture and HSW standards to ensure compliance with company standards, business strategy, and best practice. You’ll also be responsible for providing support and guidance to site managers/teams in order that the building regulatory safety checks are carried out and Worksafe audit actions are completed in a timely manner. It’s key that you have an ability to drive tasks to closure with strong influencing skills, credibility, and proactiveness. This is as you’ll need to complete routine checks and spot checks to ensure that work is being completed to the right standard and in line with the job raised and carry out contractor audits. Where it is not, you’ll need to provide constructive, supportive information for Estates Contract Managers to ensure Estates provides the best possible service. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience, but we value character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences, and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involved—those ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU Working here isn’t just a job. You can build a career at Severn Trent. We’ll reward you for it, too. We have a range of benefits that recognise great work, and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. And we’ll also help you play your part in looking after the environment and the communities where we live. 25 days holiday bank holidays (and the ability to buy/sell up to 5 days per year) Annual bonus scheme (of up to £1,500 per annum based on company performance) Leading pension scheme – we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%) Sharesave – the chance to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate Dedicated training and development with our ‘Academy’ Electric vehicle scheme and retail offers Family-friendly policies Two volunteering days per year.
