Join us to shape the future of aviation maintenance and keep Lufthansa Technik Landing Gears ahead of the curve Bring your technical expertise and passion for aviation to a global leader in aircraft services Apply now Tasks The Technical Support Engineer 's main tasks are: Support the repair and overhaul of aircraft components, ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations Assist Operations with developing new processes and procedures based on approved data (OEM) Ensure published work aligns with authority requirements, safety info, and manufacturer data Obtain approval for deviations from published data, following internal and external procedures Provide technical support to Operations (e.g., reports, tooling info, work instructions, CAD designs) Assist in technical investigations and recommend improvements for new products, processes, and quality issues Support the development of new capabilities by providing tooling, equipment, and training Help develop processes in NDT, machining, metal treatment, paint removal, and plating Facilitate creation and updates of Master Task and Parts Lists in SAP, ensuring alignment with OEM data Comply with safety, environmental regulations, and company procedures Requirements The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements: Degree in Engineering (BEng) or equivalent experience; HND/industry experience also considered Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Statistical Process Control preferred Additional language skills (German/French) are beneficial Manufacturing industry experience, ideally in Aircraft/MRO environment, with OEM data support Strong understanding of engineering drawings and basic metrology Experience with production control systems (MRP/ERP/SAP) Familiarity with LTLGS manufacturing technologies (e.g., Machine Shop, NDT, Plating, Assembly) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Visual Basic helpful) Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and basic simulation (FEA, kinematics) Knowledge of Project Management and aircraft industry airworthiness (EASA 145, CAMO, FAA, ICAO) Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical Ability to interact with production, management, and customers Must have the right to live and work in the UK
