SEN Tutor Opportunity with Remedy Tutors Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN/Ds)? Remedy Tutors is currently seeking experienced and empathetic tutors to work with children and young adults with a range of learning needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing tailored, one-on-one support to students who require additional help to thrive academically and personally. As an SEN tutor, you will work closely with students facing a variety of challenges, whether it’s due to learning difficulties, physical disabilities, or emotional and behavioural issues. Your role will be to build trust, boost confidence, and guide them through personalised learning plans and educational outcomes that suit their individual needs. What We’re Looking For: A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to tailor your methods to suit each individual student’s needs. UK Experience with teaching core subjects along with lower level numeracy and literacy. UK Experience in 1:1 tutoring or teaching students with SEN, with a solid understanding of different learning difficulties. A PGCE qualification (or equivalent) in Education or SEN (QTS desirable). At least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience, with a strong grasp of personalised learning strategies and the National Curriculum and/or the Asdan curriculum. Knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of SEN, such as Autism (ASD), dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, or other specific learning needs. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students, helping them build both academic skills and self-confidence. Knowledge of PECs and sign language / Makaton is desirable What’s In It for You?
