Job summary We are seeking a committed and highly motivated Senior Patient Pathway Coordinator/ Administration Manager within our Directorate of Acute Medicine and Older People Services at Royal London Hospital. The successful candidate will be have a strong background in outpatient clinic management and be and be experienced in providing secretarial support. You will work closely with the senior clinical and operational team and be required to develop strong working relationships across the multi-disciplinary team. The postholder will possess excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise, problem solve and find solutions in a busy working environment. You will also possess very good written and verbal communication skills alongside a detailed knowledge of Microsoft office packages as well as other hospital systems as you will be expected to communicate with patients and staff across all disciplines. Main duties of the job The role oversees the day-to-day inpatient administration processes through the supervision and line management of 8.6wte ward clerks, 1wte admin assistant and 1wte medical secretary/ppc. This role supports our clinical teams with coordinating care and discharge processes. You will be expected to resolve problems and escalating to Service Delivery Manager, Service Manager and General Manager where necessary. The post holder will actively manage the administrative processes attached to patient pathways and consultant led outpatient clinics for ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both, the multidisciplinary team and patients to deliver a high-quality administration service, a positive patient experience and excellent customer service. You will manage key performance targets in your area such as RTT, demonstrating continuous improvement in patient experience by support the directorate's implementation of service improvement projects. The role provides secretarial support to both Older People 's and Acute Medicine teams. The postholder will be based across JHH and SDM/SM office in Main building.
