Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Traffic Management Project Engineer to join their team. In this permanent role, you will play a crucial role in managing traffic signals and ensuring smooth traffic flow across various projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in traffic management within a Council and a deep understanding of traffic signals to contribute to the success of a dynamic and innovative organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage traffic signals and traffic management systems for various projects
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans and design traffic management schemes
3. Conduct traffic surveys and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize traffic flow
4. Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure timely and efficient implementation of traffic management projects
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of traffic management systems, making recommendations for improvements when necessary
6. Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in traffic management
7. Provide technical support and expert advice to internal teams and external stakeholders
8. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and findings
Job Requirements
1. Significant experience in traffic management, particularly in managing traffic signals
2. Strong understanding of traffic management schemes and systems
3. Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in traffic management
4. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply traffic data
5. Proficiency in using traffic management software and tools
6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
7. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
