Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 2 Receptionist to join our busy teams in Learning Disability and Autism/Social Communication Pathway. You will be supporting our clinical staff and will be the first point of contact for families and young people attending the department. You will have good all round administration skills, good basic numeracy and literacy as well as organisational / prioritisation skills, attention to detail and a willingness to be trained. Main duties of the job Greeting patients/visitors attending the department and updating PARIS with attendance information.Answering incoming calls to the department, responding to general enquires, relaying messages to appropriate team members. Maintaining the reception and waiting area to an orderly state at all times. Entering new referrals onto PARIS, updating any details as required, scanning of notes onto PARIS. Sending out standard appointment letters, receiving and distributing incoming post.
