Materials Handler
Location: Kingswood, Bristol
Salary: £13-£14 per hour. 37 Hours per week

Job Summary:
The Materials Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our calibration labs by efficiently supplying various types of metrology, jigs, fixtures, and packaging materials to the appropriate workstations. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply the calibration areas with necessary metrology, jigs, and fixtures in a timely manner.
2. Monitor work in progress levels of each workstation and replenish as needed.
3. Ensure that materials are correctly labelled, stored, and transported in compliance with safety and quality standards.
4. Maintain an uninterrupted workflow by coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams.
5. Conduct routine checks to ensure all items are available and meet quality standards.
6. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, or conveyor belts.
7. Assist with work in progress rotation to minimize waste and optimize workflow.
8. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including PPE usage and manual handling procedures.
9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory and storage areas.

Requirements:

4. Basic computer skills for workflow tracking (if applicable).
5. Willingness to work in a shift-based or flexible work schedule.
