We're looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) team based in Mansfield.
The post is established in support of the UK Power Networks ED1SON Alliance, comprising UKPN, Morrison Utility Services, Clancy Docwra and Kier Utilities. The Alliance is charged with delivering a £1bn programme in the 2023-2028 ED2 regulatory period. Kier Utilities has been appointed to undertake cable and electrical infrastructure projects across the Southern and Eastern Power Networks (SPN & EPN).
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Hours: Fixed Term Contract (12 months) 40 hours per week
Responsibilities of a SHE Advisor
As a SHE Advisor, you'll be working within the UKPN team, supporting them in the promotion, delivery and auditing of HS&E policies and programmes in the workplace and ensure that the project is legally compliant.
Your day to day as a SHE Advisor will include:
* Compilation and review of Health and Safety Management systems in line with accredited standard (ISO 45001).
* Help lead the development of company H&S objectives, policies, procedures, and standards.
* Alignment and compliance with client SHEW Code of Practice
* Provide guidance and support on all HS&E related matters to the UKPN site team.
* Support the UKPN team in the promotion, delivery and auditing of HS&E policies and programmes in the workplace and ensure that the project is legally compliant.
What are we looking for as a SHE Advisor?
This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if:
* Demonstrable experience within the construction/Infrastructure industry with a minimum of NEBOSH
construction certificate, hold or working towards IOSH Diploma/Grad IOSH
* Previous exposure to Environmental Management and Sustainability principles and have a good
practical understanding of the principles of SHE legislation
* Accident/Investigation Qualification (e.g., Kelvin TOPSET, ROSPA or NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation)
* Auditing to ISO45001 standard
