Our Operations Managers play an essential role in delivering customer experience across our stores - driving sales, promoting customer loyalty, maintaining high operational standards, and exceeding commercial targets.
Responsibilities
1. Overseeing store operations to maximize profitable sales and growth.
2. Creating a positive work environment and supporting team development within Dobbies.
3. Motivating the team to deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience.
4. Collaborating with central support teams to improve business communication and operations.
5. Ensuring health & safety regulations are followed, prioritizing employee and customer welfare.
6. Implementing audit controls and coaching the team on governance best practices.
7. Managing stock processes and visual merchandising throughout the store.
8. Acting as deputy to the General Manager when necessary.
9. Taking on duty manager responsibilities, including key holder duties.

1. Experience in retail operations management with strong operational expertise.
2. Commercial awareness, including budget management and sales-driven profitability.
3. Proven ability to manage stock controls and adhere to health & safety regulations.
4. Skilled in training and coaching staff to ensure excellent customer service and safety standards.
5. Adaptable, quick to respond to changing priorities and regulations.
6. Positive leadership, capable of motivating the team through seasonal changes.
