Role Overview: As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, breakdown, service, and repair of capital equipment, with a focus on inspection machines. You'll work closely with our skilled team to ensure seamless integration of PLC systems through ladder logic, SCADA, PLC programming, and HMI settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery, particularly inspection machines.
Programming and integration of PLC systems using ladder logic.
Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control system issues.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Providing technical support and training to customers as needed.
2-3 visits a week visiting customers.
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Understanding of electronic circuits and schematics
Use of electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter)
Ability to troubleshoot to board level
Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging machinery, preferably in the FMCG sector.
Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI settings. However, training can be provided.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
