Tradewind is currently seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School in Ellesmere Port. Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, including SEMH needs, in both academic and social settings.
2. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
4. Collaborate with fellow staff members and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Requirements:
5. Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.
6. A compassionate and patient demeaner with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
8. Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support would be advantageous.

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
