Look no further! We are seeking a vibrant and compassionate Senior Nurse to join our dynamic Nights team. This is an exciting fast-paced role requiring safe and effective clinical decision making to provide the highest quality care.
At Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, we believe in providing exceptional care that goes beyond the ordinary, and we need you to help us achieve that vision. When you join us, we work with you to develop your own personal development plan to support your learning style.
We provide training and clinical supervision - we won't just stop there though. We are proud of our career progression offer that will allow you to develop your clinical, leadership, and preceptorship skills.
The Neighbourhood Night Service operates from 20:45 to 07:15, seven days per week. We strongly recommend getting in touch to discuss the role further.
Main duties of the job
You will be a registered staff nurse and have excellent assessment, planning, and evaluation skills to deliver clinical care to patients and support our Nursing Assistants overnight.
You will clinically coordinate and manage care ensuring that all calls are effectively assessed, triaged, allocated, and recorded.
You will have an overview of the service as a whole to ensure that patients and staff remain safe and care is appropriate and effective overnight, e.g., re-allocating work to cover unexpected staff absence.
You must have excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills as you will be coordinating care for a large number of complex patients. You will provide clinical leadership, including line management of Band 5 Staff Nurses, and oversee line management of our Band 3 Nursing Assistants.
You must be able to think on your feet, problem solve, juggle conflicting priorities, motivate others in challenging times, and utilise the resources available to you effectively.
