Health and Safety Advisor Location: London Salary: 40k to 50k A local Construction company are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor. You will be working as part of a Health and Safety team and required to carry out Health and Safety site Audits, write up method Statements & Risk Assessment, Produce reports and carry out investigations etc. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities – Health and Safety Advisor Working under and reporting to the Health & Safety Manager Carrying out health & safety site inspections/audits on large construction sites and writing up reports Producing Method Statements for predominantly Mechanical & Electrical works but also general building works Reviewing subcontractor Method Statements & Risk Assessments Carrying out Toolbox Talks with site operatives Take part in audits carried out by external auditing bodies Carrying out in-house training such as Manual Handing, Abrasive Wheels & Face Fit Testing Chairing bi-weekly Health & Safety Meetings with site teams and producing meeting minutes Attending other health & safety related site meetings as required Carrying out accident/incident/near miss investigations and produce reports Liaising with local authorities and statutory bodies such as HSE as required Issuing disciplinaries (yellow/red cards) as required during site visits Qualifications and Experience NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety CSR/CSCS Card Experience of working under OHSAS 18001 Health and Safety Management system Experience working as a health and safety officer within Mechanical and Electrical Disciplines.
