Job summary – What to expect: We are looking for x8 Training Technicians across 2 business areas for 12 month secondments/FTC’s plus x2 Permanent Training Technicians (details top of the advert). As a Training Technician you will be responsible for Production Operator Certification and Re-certification training. The key objective of this role will be providing training and re-training to manufacturing personnel whilst motivating and developing team members by instructing and providing coaching to successfully perform their job role. Planning: To be able to prioritise & multitask all manufacturing and training requirements so deadlines are met in accordance with training plans. Generate and agree on training plans with the Training Team Leaders, Manufacturing Shift or Team Leader. Maintain employee training plans to align with business unit objectives. Administering and maintaining training records on Agile, CVA UK Training system, and training trackers. Maintaining the Electronic Training Records (ETR) to ensure the business is audit ready. Other manufacturing support tasks as required to enable the effective operation of the training team. Teamwork: To represent the training team as an inclusive and diverse environment, to build relationships, and to collaborate effectively to achieve common goals. You will be required to work closely with the training team across all shifts to ensure all tasks in which we train are performed the same way across all areas of the business to ensure a high level of consistency working as a team. To participate in process improvement projects and drive change by delivering training and educating employees. Acting as a point of contact between the Shift Leader, Team Leader, and the Training Team Leader. Supporting the leadership team when development needs are identified: e.g., training, explanation of criteria, and re-training. Provide feedback regarding training activities and if required, generate reports to support individual development. Exhibits and demonstrates soft skills and the company values (listens effectively, determines learning approach, shows emotional intelligence, and provides coaching). You will be required to work with the training team from other business units across all shifts to ensure standardised methods are used when creating and completing training materials. To be flexible to deliver training across multiple departments to align with the training and team goal. Result: To deliver consistent and sustainable results by achieving individual goals, provides help, and align efforts with the business. Navigate effectively through organizational change to deliver training team goals. Identifying training and re-training needs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is understood by all team members to promote an effective, productive, and highly skilled workforce. Takes accountability for individual goals by self-managing schedules and training plans. Provide Certification, Re-certification training, guidance, and support to the manufacturing team. Maintain a consistent level of training and effective use of training materials when delivering training. Maintain training compliance metrics as required by the Training Team Leader or Training Administrator. Review existing documentation to make sure current procedures reflect working practices. To develop and maintain training materials used to aid training delivery. To be responsible for health and safety awareness and quality compliance. Conduct training sessions using various formats (individual, group sessions, in-person or virtual) to accommodate different learning styles. Assess trainee's understanding and retention of information during training, re-training, and group sessions. Monitor and assess the trainees and provide feedback to the leadership team. Support individual development and capability requirements as identified by the DOVE program. Offer support and resources to help the trainee track their progress. Support the development of ClassMarker testing and administer/review test scores. Effective use of the Agile system to reference the latest document revision to maintain training compliance. Self-Aware: To review and reflect on strengths and weaknesses to be able to own your development and identify key improvement areas within the scope of the role. To communicate effectively with others to foster a collaborative environment. To be able to receive constructive feedback upon completion of tasks or objectives. In addition we would like: Demonstrate an understanding of standard Operating and Company Procedures, through work as a Production Operator. Numerical, verbal, and literacy skills. Strong manufacturing environment understanding preferably with some previous training experience. Effective communication skills and the ability to convey information accurately and consistently. Passionate and committed to sharing process knowledge to develop and enhance the skills of other employees. IT Literate with practical understanding and good knowledge of Microsoft applications.
