Pure are delighted to be partnering with an excellent business based in Witham looking for an experienced Payroll/ Assistant Accountant to join the team on a 6 month contract basis.
Duties will include the following:
1. Responsible for processing monthly payroll
2. Responsible for managing the payment run process - weekly/monthly runs
3. Responsible for ensuring the bank accounts are reconciled on a daily basis
4. Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations, including reconciling all intercompany balances at month-end and resolving any discrepancies
5. Regularly circulating timesheet analysis and chasing line managers for incomplete/inaccurate time recording
6. Responsible for ensuring that all subcontractor compliance is maintained, and CIS is appropriately applied where applicable
7. Preparation of accurate HMRC submission such as PAYE, VAT, CIS, P11D
8. Supporting internal and external audit process
9. Support the Commercial Finance Manager and Head of Finance and Finance Director with any financial analysis as required
10. Streamline and drive continuous improvement in order to gain efficiencies in the finance team
Requirements:
11. AAT qualified or part qualified in ACCA/CIMA
12. Ideally 2+ Years experience in Payroll
13. Management Accounts experience
14. Strong Excel Skills
15. High attention to detail
16. A can-do attitude
17. Clear communicator
