The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join The Tree House Day Nursery as a Level 3 Apprentice at their Wells setting.
Born in 1989, Tree House is a long-established day nursery and Pre-School set on the outskirts of Wells. Our new (2021) custom-built nursery is equipped with exciting play and learning areas and secure outdoor provision. We cater for children from 3 months to five years of age with the nursery being split over two areas – Little end (under two’s) and Pre-School (over two’s).
Our staff are fully committed to providing exciting learning opportunities and unique play experiences which we believe is the perfect environment for your child to develop socially and emotionally in the company of their peers.
As part of your role as a Level 3 Apprentice, your duties will include:
* Working in a small, close team.
* Monitoring and assessing children's progress, ensuring correct records are maintained using written and digital methods (Tapestry).
* Ensuring the expected high standards of child care are upheld at all times.
* Demonstrating your commitment to safeguarding the children within your work.
* Being responsible for the development of children and providing interesting learning opportunities following the EYFS.
* Assisting senior staff members as and when required.
Hours:
* The Tree House is open all year round Monday to Friday from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm.
* The successful candidate will be required to work 36 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
Requirements:
* A Level 2 childcare qualification is required.
* GCSE English and maths – must be able to provide documentation.
* Computer literate, with good written and verbal skills.
* Dedicated to Early Years education.
* Enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards supporting children through their development.
* Good communication – both written and verbal.
* Punctuality, patience, reliability, and trustworthiness.
* One year’s paid employment in a nursery or pre-school is essential.
* Confidence and capability to use and update Tapestry.
