Are you a Qualified Lawyer who specialises in Data Privacy/Data Protection? Open to a new 12 month fixed-term contract?
My client, a top international law firm, is actively seeking a Qualified Lawyer who specialises in Data Privacy/Protection, to join them on an initial 12m FTC in their Birmingham office - working as their new In-House Data Privacy Lawyer.
As the successful In-House Lawyer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Supporting the business in managing its data protection and client confidentiality risk
- Providing privacy and data input on client questionnaires
- Drafting policies and guidance, as well as in-depth training when needed
- Responding to queries from the business on data, privacy and confidentiality
- Assisting with data subject rights requests
- Reviewing and advising on data and privacy aspects of the firms' client terms
- Assisting with Privacy Impact Assessments and additional DP risk assessments
+ much more.
To be considered for this position, you'll need to have/be the following:
- Be 2-5 years' PQE - with a focus on Data Privacy/Protection
- Ideally, have a qualification within Data Protection
- Be able to commute to the Birmingham office a minimum of three days per week
- Have an awareness and understanding of upcoming regulatory changes within data
