The Opportunity
We're currently seeking a motivated Land Delivery Manager, with great leadership and mentoring skills to join our Brisbane team, reporting to the General Manager of Land Access and Approvals.
Senex requires access to land parcels (properties) proximal to Senex’s activities to drill wells and support critical infrastructure. The Land Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the Land Delivery team to implement land access agreements, compensation arrangements, and make-good obligations with landholders and other stakeholders. You will ensure that all CSG activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and that any potential impacts on land, water, and biodiversity are minimized and mitigated in line with Senex’s values.
Your role will involve collaborating closely with our Land Access team, who handle direct negotiations with property owners. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our land delivery strategy, overseeing project planning, risk assessments, and ensuring timely deliverables.
Beyond managing operations, you'll also drive business improvements within the team and foster the professional development of your team members.
Other key accountabilities include:
* Coordination with early delivery teams
* Approval of statutory notices for issue to landholders
* Strategy and negotiations around land delivery
* Review Project Scope Definitions (PSD) within Conduct and Compensation Agreements (CCAs).
Industry experience in a regulated environment will be helpful when stepping into the role, as well as having a sound understanding of the importance of good commercial acumen within a project/regulatory environment.
About You
You'll thrive in building solid relationships with stakeholders and have the ability to influence outcomes through clear and concise communication. If you have a proven track record of securing land access for resource projects and a deep understanding of petroleum legislation, especially in Queensland, then you're ahead of the game.
While a tertiary qualification in Law, Business, or a related field would be fantastic, we're also open to candidates with a wealth of experience and demonstrated competence.
