Freight Forwarding BDM / Key Accounts Manager
Do you have strong client relationships in the Freight Forwarding industry but are feeling undervalued by your employer?
A WorldWide, successful expanding Freight Forwarder is looking for a BDM/Key Accounts Manager for their Portsmouth site.
The successful Key Accounts Manager will have worked for a Freight Forwarder and will have experience in Key accounts management, sales, or operations.
You will be joining a vibrant team and managing the start to finish process of your client’s freight forwarding needs.
The Package:
1. £40K – £50K basic depending on experience and if there is much business to bring.
2. Generous bonus scheme.
3. Monday to Friday 9am – 5:30pm.
4. 32 days holiday including bank holidays.
5. Company pension.
The Key Account Manager Role:
1. Looking after the requirements of the clients.
2. Manage the day to day start to finish freight forwarding jobs of the clients.
3. Developing business from existing clients.
4. Invoice jobs on completion.
5. Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation.
The Key Account Manager Requirements:
1. MUST have Freight Forwarding experience.
2. Have business that will be willing to come across with them.
3. Previous working experience in a sales/operations or key account management role at a freight forwarder.
4. Skilled at freight quotations and rate negotiations.
5. Must have experience in road, sea, and air freight operations.
6. An excellent communicator both written and verbally.
7. Excellent IT skills.
