Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 24 year old female living I the area of Talbot Green with my family. I am a very happy and sociable person and always looks on the bright side of life. I have a great support network and many friends that I love to spend time with. I am always busy doing something, whether its learning how to crochet or making 5D art. I love going away on holiday aswell. I have a diagnosis of a rare skin condition called Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolys Bullosa, which is characterised by a lack of adhesion to the skin under the basement membrane. If I have physical contact the layers of my skin come apart, leading to blistering and there is a tendency for the blisters to heal with scarring. My skin has to be covered in bandages, from my neck to my feet and these bandages are changed daily. I am a wheelchair user as my mobility is affected aswell.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a PA who can support me whilst going out into the community and support me with social inclusion.
It would be provide me with more opportunities of getting out in the community engaging in activities I enjoy doing
To provide me with a degree of flexibility, This will help with supporting me with to frequent medical appointments
PLACE OF WORK
In and around the area of Talbot Green
HOURS OF WORK
8 hours per week
RATE OF PAY
£12.00 per hour inc paid mileage and expenses where appropriate
TASKS INVOLVED
Taking me to certain activities of my choice
Going shopping or out for food
Taking me to horse riding lessons
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
