As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient transport operations while upholding health and safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between hauliers, warehouse staff, and the logistics team. What you can expect: As a Transport Administrator, you will act as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, ensuring all records are maintained accurately. You will oversee the transport management system by processing orders, booking vehicles in and out of the site safely and efficiently, and ensuring all records remain up to date. Additionally, you will provide drivers with accurate documentation and ensure the timely issuance of loading tickets to support smooth site operations. Communication will be a key aspect of your role, as you will maintain regular contact with hauliers, warehouse staff, and logistics teams to ensure schedules are met and operations run smoothly. You will also serve as a central hub for warehouse and logistics administration outside regular hours, supporting the broader team in achieving operational excellence. What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have experience in a transport or traffic position within a manufacturing environment and possess a good standard of education. Strong IT skills are essential, including excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office software, complemented by robust administrative capabilities. Experience with Transport and/or Syteline Systems would be a significant advantage. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations would be preferred. In terms of personal attributes, the successful candidate will be a confident and assertive communicator with strong organisational skills. They will thrive as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment. This role will follow a shift pattern of 4 nights on followed by 4 days off. The salary for the role is £31,864 per annum, inclusive of shift allowance. Benefits
