Job Description:
Tax Transformation Data & Automation - Manager
We are looking for talented Managers to join us in Canada Square, London (although flexibility on location will be considered) with experience in a broad range of areas including:
* Deep tax compliance, reporting and/or automation expertise
* IFRS and/or US GAAP tax accounting knowledge, including tax consolidation
* Familiarity with tax reporting solutions in the market (e.g. Longview, Oracle TRCS, OneSource Tax Provision, etc.)
* Familiarity with end-to-end finance processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Record-to-Report) and their integration with tax
* Advising on appropriate tax technology to support compliance and reporting processes
* Tax technology implementation experience, including requirements gathering from a tax and IT perspective, and creating and reviewing design documentation
* Tax transformation experience, including tax governance, process design and improvement
* Project management
* Client and engagement management
Desirable Skills:
* Designing or implementing cloud-based practical applications from a tax perspective
* Acting as a functionality translator between technology teams and tax teams
* Experience of one or more tax reporting or direct tax compliance solutions
* Experience with common ERP and consolidation systems (SAP, Oracle / HFM, Workday, Dynamics 365, etc.)
* Project managing the overall delivery of tax transformation and technology projects, including some ‘hands on’ configuration effort
* Helping clients to design, build and deploy automation solutions for Tax
* Supporting clients in designing systems to address tax requirements in different countries
* Working with Tax Transformation and GCT colleagues as well as other teams in KPMG
* Developing service offerings and service delivery models
* Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
* Building positive relationships inside and outside KPMG
* Performance managing assistant managers and graduate trainees
* Identifying opportunities for additional services for clients
* Coaching and providing technical support for team members
* Following KPMG best practice and policy
Knowledge and Experience:
* Awareness of technology and automation to drive efficiency and risk management
* Experience in process, risk, and controls design
* Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
At manager level, you will have strong communication skills, drive forward propositions and initiatives, effectively prioritise, and have strong financial management. We welcome applications from those qualified by experience, as well as ATT / CTA / ACA or equivalent qualifications. Project Management qualifications and specific transformation skills (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) are also welcome.
Experience Areas:
* BEPs: Help clients transform their operating model, processes, systems, and data in preparation for Pillar 2.
* Managed Services: Lead the delivery of global or large UK tax, accounting, compliance, and reporting projects.
* Technology Transformation: Lead technology solutions projects and drive new opportunities.
* Tax Operating Model: Design, build, and manage aspects of Tax Operating Model.
* Data Management: Deploy data-focused solutions that enable automation.
Experience within the statutory and tax space is helpful but not mandatory.
