About the Role
As the Clinical Team Manager, you will seamlessly integrate operational leadership with hands-on clinical duties, ensuring outstanding care for individuals in police custody. This full-time role offers a dynamic schedule of 7.5-hour shifts across 7 days, supporting a fast-paced service. Success in this role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to respond to evolving demands in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leadership and Management: Leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and paramedics.
2. Overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with NHS and Police standards.
3. Supporting recruitment, training, and professional development of staff.
4. Managing resources, rotas, and service delivery to maintain high standards of care.
5. Liaising with police, commissioners, and other stakeholders to enhance service outcomes.
6. Clinical Work: Providing hands-on clinical care, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for individuals in police custody.
7. Delivering care for physical and mental health conditions, including substance misuse and acute injuries.
8. Acting as a clinical role model and providing direct supervision to team members.
9. Ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation in line with legal and professional standards.
You will have experience of working with vulnerable groups and/or in a health and Justice setting. A strong sense of leadership and leading by example to uphold the Trust values and behaviours is a must. This role requires full police vetting, and it is essential that you can travel independently across the area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
