Job Description
The Credit Control Manager role will be 100% office based in Blackburn and will initially be a temporary contract for 6 months with the option to extend.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:
1. Manage a team of credit controllers
2. Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, including sharing and updating aged debt reports
3. Allocate cash receipts and cheques
4. Manage debt recovery actions where necessary
5. Ensure up-to-date and transparent information for the relevant managers and directors
6. Work closely with the Invoicing and accounts payable team
7. Chase queries and follow up where required
8. Manage the Dunning Process on a weekly basis
9. Review and report on collection progress across all regions weekly
10. Implement escalation processes, both internally and externally
11. Effectively manage a team of Credit Controllers, including 1-2-1 mentorship, delegation of tasks, and regularly reviewing each ledger, setting targets to continue the reduction in debtor days
12. Chase customers daily by phone & email, building excellent relationships with clients to maximize cash collection
The Successful Applicant
In order to apply for the role you should:
1. Have previous experience as a Credit Control Team Leader/Manager
2. Be confident on Excel to VLOOKUP and pivot table level
3. Be able to commute full-time to the office in Blackburn
4. Be able to consider a 6-month contract initially
