Variable hours/positions available on weekday Afternoons, evenings. Full or
half days at weekends/weekend evenings. Exact days and times to be agreed
with employer. *Please be prepared to work occasional bank holidays.
Hourly pay rate: £16.00
I am seeking dedicated PAs to build a trusting relationship and communicate effectively with my daughter, a 30-year-old woman with non-verbal autism, a learning disability, sensory processing disorder, and complex needs.
Your role will focus on understanding and supporting her to lead a purposeful and fulfilling life, always keeping her best interests at heart.
The work will take place in the family home and in the community.

My daughter loves the outdoors and staying active. She enjoys activities like music, drumming, art, puzzle games, walking, climbing, surfing, skateboarding, cycling, table tennis, and marble runs. Her disability affects all aspects of her life, requiring constant assistance and regular prompts. Despite the challenges, she is a generally happy and cheeky character who loves to laugh
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Other relevant duties as required
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Bathroom assistance
Employee Duties:
Confident driver with a clean driving license
Willing to drive a Motability car
Confident navigator in all situations (car and walking)
Understanding of an individual’s complex sensory and communication needs
Ability to connect, interact, and build a meaningful, trusting relationship
Willingness to find numerous ways to communicate
Provide personal care throughout the day
Stay alert to foresee possible stressors and dangers
Think for the individual and always stay attentive to needs
Good level of strength and fitness required
Prompt and physical assistance always required
Intensive interaction
Food prep, assistance around meals, and hydration monitoring throughout the day
Allergy awareness (training can be provided)
Respectful of the privacy of the individual and family
Ability to administer medication
Desirable Requirements:
First Aid & Epi pen trained
Coeliac awareness
Awareness of Autism
Instructing/Sports qualification
Food hygiene qualification
