Teacher of Maths Location: Corby, Northamptonshire, UK Salary: MPS / UPS Start date: Easter or September 2025 Contract: Full-time, permanent Teaching Personnel are working with one of our Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' secondary schools who wish to appoint a dedicated and inspirational Maths teacher to play a key role in their School. You will be joining a team of strong and enthusiastic staff who are committed to delivering a high quality, lively, interesting curriculum to challenge and inspire all their students. They are a well-resourced and dynamic Maths department. The schools well-established Mathematics department consists of eight full-time teachers and one part-time teacher, including teaching from subject specialists within the senior leadership team. Students follow a spiral curriculum throughout KS3 and KS4, allowing students to develop a deeper understanding of the core knowledge and have opportunities to interweave topics. They want this to provide students with a more enriching experience and ultimately a greater understanding of Mathematics. Students work towards the Edexcel GCSE Mathematics qualification in KS4. The school are looking at opportunities to expand their provision at KS4, including the delivery of a Further Maths qualification. They have seen the KS5 provision expand over the past year and it is frequently the most subscribed subject. They also offer A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, alongside the L3 Core Maths qualification for students that are passionate in supporting their A-Level studies with further mathematics education. The Mathematics department utilise shared planning in order to minimise workload and give teachers the time to focus on the creation of high-quality lessons and resources. They have developed systems to ensure the department runs effectively, but you will still be given the autonomy to ensure your lessons and teaching practice are bespoke to the need of your students. They work collaboratively and always seek to refine their approaches – input from all staff is crucial for their ongoing success.
