Programme Description
Typically, your placements will consist of 3-6 month rotations across the Engineering department, mostly within Mechanical Engineering areas. This includes the opportunity to do a 3 month external placement elsewhere in the business. The graduate scheme will give you the opportunity to build on your technical knowledge and also develop soft skills through opportunities which a direct entry position may not be able to.
Key Responsibility Areas
There will also be an Engineering specific induction to ensure that scheme requirements and expectations are fully established. Working with world-leading specialists, you will increase your technical skills and capability, and develop your academic and practical understanding of the diverse world that is manufacturing & supply chain.
We are currently looking for an energetic Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Graduate, who would:
1. Perform defined engineering design and analysis tasks, required for project, process and departmental purposes using established methods.
2. Develop and integrate engineering solutions from given broader design concepts and schemes.
3. Perform defined simulation, modelling, testing and assessment activities to ensure that the engineering solution meets customer requirements.
4. Assist with the creation of test plans and participate in sub system and system testing.
5. Assist with the development of new technologies, methods, and procedures for business benefit.
6. Produce standard engineering documents, reports and qualification statements.
7. Investigate assigned customer and product issues to produce a recommendation for their resolution.
8. Perform engineering tests that comply with required processes and procedures.
9. Identify and develop improvements to methods and procedures used in your activities.
10. Support the interpretation of system and user requirements.
11. Represent the Engineering Directorate in cross business discussions involving a product or aircraft sub-system.
What we need from you:
Minimum 2:2 Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant Aerospace/Aeronautical subject.
