About this Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational person to join a strong department of specialist teachers. The successful candidate will liaise and support management in raising student standards and contribute to the development of the Key Stage curriculum across the department.
Core Purpose
To raise standards of teaching and learning at Rastrick High School through:
1. Developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others.
2. Continually developing expert knowledge of teaching and learning strategies which have a proven positive impact on students’ progress and attainment.
3. Effectively analysing and using the OFSTED criteria to maintain and support the accuracy of teaching judgements and quality of lesson feedback.
4. Taking a lead role in the delivery of CPD sessions to staff.
5. Modeling high aspirations and standards; ensuring good or outstanding teaching is consistently achieved in your own teaching.
6. Leading on the development and delivery of teaching and learning strategies within the Teaching and Learning Team; enabling strategies to be delivered to all staff, as well as offering 1:1 support to staff as and when required.
Rastrick High School is part of the Polaris Multi Academy Trust who are a successful and expanding Trust, comprising of 4 Academies and 1 Private Day Care Nursery.
