The Region Solutioning & Delivery (S&D) Lead is responsible for the strategy, leadership, planning, project coordination and management of the project portfolio, as well as managing the current and future needs of S&D Management in the region. This role provides leadership and guidance to the local S&D Team, builds and maintains client relationships, and continuously evaluates and improves project delivery processes.
The S&D Lead is accountable for the successful client delivery within the region, driving profitability while supporting revenue growth, and implementing the regional S&D Maturity Plan. This role is responsible for ensuring the deliverability of new work that is sold to our clients in collaboration with Sales, Client Solutions, and the Practices, managing risk across the project portfolio, and implementing continuous improvements in the industrialization and globalization of our delivery capabilities.
This is a client-facing role and engages directly with key clients to ensure that we are delivering to their expectations in addition to identifying areas where we can deliver additional value. From time to time, you may be required to step in and stabilize projects that have hit problems.
This role reports directly to the Region General Manager. Your team will comprise of Portfolio Delivery Leads providing oversight to segments of the portfolio, Delivery Leads managing individual clients, contracts and projects.

Activities include:•Effective Delivery role assignment: QADs (early assignment), Delivery & Recovery Leads, Delivery Sponsors and Mobilization Coaches•Excellence in project mobilization, rigorous delivery execution and close•Drive timely and accurate Status & Risk reporting from all projects•Understand delivery schedule and cost variance, SLA impacts, financial impact, contract consequences etc. Develop mitigation and recovery plans for troubled projects and support implementation•Communicate risks, issues & expectations with Avanade’s Regional, Area and Global leaders including High Risk, Action list and MLR projects•Interlock with Accenture Technology Leaders on direct & indirect portfolio•Responsible for regional QA Program execution to meet QA Policy•Accountable for solution and delivery policy adherence in the region. Includes but not limited to Managed Delivery, ADF, QA, etc.DELIVERY EXECUTION (chargeable): •Take Executive Sponsorship, Delivery Sponsorship, Recovery Lead or other client facing delivery roles•Delivery QA Director for specific engagements providing independent risk assessment, client management and delivery team supportREGIONAL LEADERSHIP: •Integral member of the Regional Leadership participating in meetings, initiatives, and decision making•Build strong ties with Regional Leadership to understand and influence business priorities and execution, from a solution & delivery perspective •Support regional roll-out of initiatives from a solution & delivery perspectiveDELIVERY CAPABILITY & IMPROVEMENT PLANS: •Lead and empower S&D team •Drive Delivery Capability Maturity improvement plan execution•Own delivery Workforce capacity planning to meet business need, including hiring and capability development plans•Responsible for Delivery community being trained in necessary skills, tools and processes (including ADF) to be effective in their role•Set performance goals and assess progress to plan for delivery organization•Career Counselling and mentoring of senior delivery talent•Complete Certification interviews within scope and drive to agreed targets OPPORTUNITY / SALES SUPPORT (recoverable): 10-20%•Represent Delivery in Opportunity lifecycle including qualification, value proposition, business case, solution shape, win-themes, contracting, etc. •Influence deal shape to be winnable and deliverable, with clarity on risks and mitigation to support business decisions •Opportunity QA Director for large, complex deals to support setting client expectations, deliverability, risk assessment & mitigation plans.
