Join this market-leading Hereford business as Finance Manager, managing the month-end and with responsibility for budgeting and forecasting for a c.20m entity. The salary range reflects the fact we can consider candidates who are developing into a role like this or those who are already qualified and operating at this level. There is a particularly interesting focus on change management in this role which may be very desirable for the right person.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing the month-end and year-end financial close process
* Supporting the Finance Director during the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes with regards to P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital plan
* Regulatory requirements and liaising with auditors for statutory and tax filings
* Supervising the annual external audit for UK
* Overseeing payroll process and journals
* Managing VAT and Intrastat returns process to ensure compliance with regulations
* Managing and developing AR and AP functions
* Reconciling all balance sheet accounts
* Managing the fixed assets process
* Analysis including comparing actual to budgeted spending and other reporting
* Banking functions - including cash management, payments, regular cash flow forecasting and reporting
Candidate profile
* Could be a part-qualified/nearly qualified candidate. Could also be someone already qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* Practical experience of costing desirable, if not theoretical
* Strong Excel skills
* A skilled communicator who can manage change
* Confident managing a small team
* Deadline-focused and able to produce reports on a timely basis
