This post is based in Kettering. About the role: As a Pediatric community Speech and Language Therapist you’ll provide vital support to students with autism and learning disabilities. In this role, you’ll assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication problems, enabling each child to achieve their full potential. Collaborating with educators, parents, and other therapists, you’ll develop individualized plans tailored to each student’s needs. Your expertise will not only enhance their academic abilities but also improve their daily lives and interactions. Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist: Assessing and providing diagnoses and specialist advice on a range of communication disorders to other professionals and families To work at an autonomous level demonstrating a specialist knowledge and range of therapeutic approaches Planning appropriate evidence based therapeutic intervention, making judgements about type and timing of treatment in collaboration with education staff/ school/ nursery / home as appropriate. Delivering group and individual therapy as required Providing regular written and verbal advice, reports and therapy programmes to education staff, parents, and other health professionals Smartcard required and Systemone knowledge and own Transport MUST have proven competence in dysphagia assessment) and (care planning for children under 1 years) What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist: HCPC registration Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia Experience of working with families Why work with Pulse?
