Reporting directly to the CEO, we are looking for a passionate and highly driven Sales Manager to take charge of delivering growth through an established sales team, within key retail relationships and maximise profitability. The position involves leading relationships in the Top 6 Grocery Retailers as well as building out new opportunity with your already established network. Within the role you will: Maximise company sales and profit, by seeking out major clients and forming relationships with premier buyers in the industry to add new customers and line listings. Accurately forecast future sales. Form sales plans and set performance goals accordingly. Direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and manage the Sales Team. Direct market channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Represent the company at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions. Meet with key clients, assist sales members with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals. Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales related divisions. Analyse and control expenditure of department to conform to budgetary requirements. Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, margins, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Review and analyse sales performance against budgeted margins & performance plans to determine effectiveness and maintain control of department overheads. Where appropriate liaise with suppliers and foster strong relationships alongside other members in the management team. Work alongside the Marketing Manager to determine advertising and promotion activities for customer accounts, to maximise sales and profit. The position required a deep understanding of product in the FMCG space. This client sells across Grocery, Mults, Independents, Discounter, Symbol Groups etc and experience in leading sales into these channels is essential
