We are currently recruiting for a full time Senior Engagement Manager on a fixed term contract (12 months) based in our Edinburgh office (Hybrid Working).
The primary purpose of this post is to work as part of the Engagement Team to manage and deliver engagement and inclusion activity across Scotland including stimulating and supporting the flow of good quality applications; working in Heritage Places as required; and planning and implementing outreach strategies targeted at Heritage 2033 priorities. Contributing to the wider work of the Scotland team.

Flexible Working
The National Lottery Heritage Fund has offices all over the UK and we champion a flexible approach to working where this supports our business needs. We have formally adopted a hybrid working approach. This means that most employees will work from their contracted Heritage Fund office twice a week at minimum. Time spent on site visits to projects or other meetings based at another Heritage Fund or external office are counted as part of those two days. The other days in the week employees may work from home.

You will have in-depth fundraising experience with proven expertise securing funding for projects and services. It is essential to have experience in leading competitive tenders and developing winning proposals as well as securing different sources of income. You will be skilled in constructing clear and effective funding applications, project proposals and tender documents.

About National Programmes
Change Mental Health is the lead partner in the Highlands for the Scottish Government’s Distress Brief Intervention project (DBI). The DBI is a Scotland-wide pilot project, testing a ground-breaking approach to address the emotional and psychological pain experienced by people in distress.
Working in partnership with frontline services, including Police, Ambulance service, Primary Care and mental health teams, the project provides rapid referral to focused, short-term support, with the option of onward referral to longer-term support if required. As the National Programme lead you will play a significant role in this major, high profile Scottish Government project. Additionally, you will lead on the development of new national programmes/ services and oversee the running of them.
About the Role
As National Programme Lead, you will oversee and lead all Change Mental Health DBI Teams and assist in the development of the DBI programme on behalf of Change Mental Health. You will have responsibility to ensure that our work to support people in distress is delivered to a high standard and within the framework agreed with the Scottish Government and the DBI Programme Board. You will provide visible leadership to staff and be a strong role model and leader in building a positive and supportive culture as part of your role.
You will work closely with senior colleagues in Change Mental Health and in a wide range of statutory and third sector agencies to ensure that the Distress Brief Intervention, and other national programmes of work/ services continue to deliver an innovative service in a compassionate and connected way. With partnership working at the forefront, you will develop the services while working closely with key partners, in liaison with the appropriate Heads of Service and the Director of Services.
The National Programme Lead will work across several areas of Scotland including, but not limited to, Highland, Argyll & Bute, Dumfries and Galloway, Western Isles and CMH National office in Edinburgh.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversee all DBI services provided by Change Mental Health, including responsibility for all quality and reporting aspects of delivery.
* Lead on the roll out and expansion of DBI Services within Change Mental Health areas.
* Lead on discussions with partners around the future of existing DBI projects, including funding opportunities and expansion of current pathways.
* Oversee management of the rota system, ongoing development of the Change Mental Health DBI Hub and DBI Managers meetings.
* Develop and oversee new national services ensuring a robust quality framework is in place to support the best practice and continuous improvement within the service.
* Ensure Change Mental Health Policies and Procedures are implemented and understood including Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
* Develop and maintain excellent partnerships with statutory and third sector agencies and partners in all areas.
* Monitor existing funding contracts and highlight any challenges around these within appropriate timeframes.
* Leading on local and national groups relevant to the National programmes e.g. DBI Programme Board meetings and local implementation groups.
* Providing line management, including support & supervision to Project Managers / Team Leaders both virtually and face to face.
* Provide out-of-hours support to national programme teams on a rota-basis.
* Be part of the Management Team for National services and work closely with peers to provide guidance and support, as required.

* Experience of setting up and managing programmes/ services in a third sector setting.

The Community Alliance Trust (CAT) is an independent registered Scottish Charity and the Development Trust for Greater Craigmillar. It was established in 2011 in response to the stalled regeneration programme in Craigmillar. It currently runs the White House, a beautiful art deco building which is a community hub that includes a café (White House Kitchen) and an educational organisation (IntoUniversity) as well as being the head office for the Trust. It also has several social enterprises, including some community growing projects. CAT has a small staff currently funded through grant awards e.g. Scottish Government or the Local Authority.

Primary Purpose
This is a new role within a refreshed Starcatchers Staff Team for 2025/26 and beyond. The post-holder will be pivotal in the development of our Community Engagement activity leading on the implementation of this work, supporting the specialist Starcatchers Artists who lead on delivery, nurturing existing and seeding new relationships within communities and securing funding to sustain activity moving forward.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Community Engagement
* To lead on the development and delivery of all Starcatchers' Community Engagement activity including current programmes.
* Seed new activities in line with organisational priorities.
* To ensure the implementation of a continuous improvement framework within the team.
* To ensure the principles of Starcatchers Voice of the Baby research are embedded and reflected in artistic practice.
* To ensure the participation of the babies, young children, parents and carers who engage in Starcatchers activity is evident in all aspects of service delivery.
* To develop and maintain relationships with partners to support the delivery and potential future development of project activity.
* To oversee the implementation of research and evaluation surveys across all Community Engagement activity and provide feedback and figures for reporting, evaluation and development purposes.
* To manage the Community Engagement budgets and ensure delegated budgets operate within organisational monitoring and reporting arrangements.
* To regularly attend Community Engagement sessions and provide support to delivery staff.
