A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team who are easy to get along with, at our busy 24 hr hospital in Poole Dorset.
Medivet Poole is supported by a fantastic team including a Branch Partner, 4 and a half Vets (with certificates in cardiology, small animal surgery, behaviour and ECC) an experienced Nursing team made up of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants and a full Reception team.
The practice is excellently equipped with laparoscopy, endoscopy (rigid and flexible) ultrasound, full lab suite, digital x ray, dental x-ray, separate cat and dog wards with underfloor heating and large, bright consult rooms.
Poole is in an ideal location being close to the sea, 10 minutes from Poole town centre, 20 minutes from Bournemouth, good rail links to and from London and lots of pubs and restaurants nearby.

1. Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
2. Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
3. Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
4. Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
5. Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
6. Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
7. Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience
1. RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
2. Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
3. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
4. Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
5. Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
6. Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
7. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
