Job Title: Employability Coach
Reports to: Employability Manager
Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) - Fixed Term
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensure timely communication of course dates to projects to assist with young people recruitment.
* Plan and deliver accredited group activities on employability skills, supporting young people to attain accreditation.
* Build positive relationships with young people both in groups and individually.
* Use coaching and mentoring to challenge attitudes and behaviors constructively.
* Utilize lesson planning and learning schedules to meet contractual outcomes.
* Engage learners creatively using sports, arts, digital tech, etc., to inspire learning and job goals.
* Ensure delivery complies with internal standards and contractual obligations.
* Assess learners' work according to accreditor standards.
* Provide reports on young people's progress and achievements.
* Conduct inductions and initial assessments for learners.
* Work within KPIs to facilitate access to employment and training opportunities.
* Contribute to reviewing learning programs and deliver high-quality guidance and pastoral support.
* Foster positive relationships with project staff for holistic program delivery.
* Deliver 'My Strengths' training and share success stories internally and externally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Maths & English GCSE Grade C or above
* Level 3 Award in Education and Training or similar
NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
ROLE EXPERIENCE:
* Experience working with young people in employability, education, welfare to work, youth work, or related fields.
* Experience delivering group employability programs and working with hard-to-reach learners.
* Proven ability to develop partnerships and deliver advice, guidance, and basic skills assessments.
KNOWLEDGE:
* Understanding of young people's challenges in education, employment, and training.
* Knowledge of local support agencies, welfare systems, housing policy, and youth homelessness issues.
