Responsibilities:
* As a DB2 Systems Programmer, I am responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure platforms and products that support our applications and data systems. My focus is on ensuring our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response. My key accountabilities include:
* Build Engineering: Developing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use.
* Incident Management: Monitoring IT infrastructure and system performance to proactively identify, address, and resolve potential issues and vulnerabilities, utilizing data to reduce mean time to resolution.
* Automation: Creating and implementing automated tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual interventions through software scripting and coding.
* Security: Establishing secure configurations and measures to protect our infrastructure against cyber threats, ensuring the security of hardware, software, and data from unauthorized access.
* Teamwork: Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and other engineers to define infrastructure requirements, devise effective solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
