Duration: Permanent. This is a full-time opportunity; however flexible working patterns will be considered.
Location: The Quadrant: Milton Keynes. For this location you will need to live within 90 minutes from the office location or be willing to relocate.
Band & Salary: Band 4C 43,588 - 49,037 per annum (Subject to experience)

Since the mid-1800s, signalling has evolved from basic principles into todays highly complex electronic systems, and the legacy of this development has resulted in many different signalling types and technologies.
About the team..
The Control, Command & Signalling (CCS) Engineering team is the technical authority for these systems including policy and standards, asset management, technology introduction and product acceptance. This role sits within the level crossing technology team.
What does the average day look like?
* Technology Specialist: Youll become a specialist in Level Crossing Technology providing expert advice and sharing best practice.
* Product Acceptance: Be a part of our team that ensures that all level crossing technology and products meet with relevant Network Rail policies and standards while staying in line with relevant safety requirements, legislation and international norms.
* Innovation: Support the research and development of future technologies for Level Crossings.
* Investigate and Troubleshoot: Help us solve technical problems and support us in investigating and analysing incidents.
* Design Excellence: Play a crucial role in assessing the capabilities and performance of design options.
* Risk Management: Schedule and conduct risk assessments and come up with smart ways to minimize them.
* Record-Keeper: Help us manage information and keep important records organised.
* Engineering Verification: Play a key role in engineering verification activities.
* Project Delivery: Representing Network Rails needs to ensure specific projects or portfolios, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with top-notch quality.
* Data Management: Keep a close eye on technical and asset data and help us make informed decisions.

What essential skills and experiences are required?
