Required: Electrical Project Manager (Freelance) Employment: Freelance Start Date: May 2025 Duration: at least 16 months Location: North Devon Day Rate: £negotiable on relevant experience Project: commercial/industrial new installation, circa £3m ( plant) electrical services You will have previous and extensive experience of running large Electrical construction projects within the built environment along with a strong understanding of following the processes and procedures required by a TIER 1 Contractor. What you'll be doing Lead pre-starts with the supply chains and their mobilisation of the project. Implement roles and responsibilities of the project team and Supply Chain with the correct competencies aligned to the level of risk Ensure the team run on-site Black hat safety and logistics tours promoting a site safe culture between the different trade contractor supervisors. Coordination and implementation of site-wide daily briefings with progress recording and blocker resolution being proactively achieved. Programme delivery management for the work package or the whole project including logic and sequencing resolutions with wider project requirements escalating where necessary. Accountable for the implementation of short interval control (Short Term Planning) decision-making concerning the overall programme. Coordination and planning of work with the understanding of priority to the critical path and earned value analysis. Accountable for Integration of the planning and site teams, ensuring clear two-way communication between all parties with accurate records of progress, risk/ blocker identification and mitigation. Enforcing disciplined site records by both the construction team and supply chain with culpable delays recognised and proactive mitigating. Who the Employer/Contractor are looking for Detailed understanding of construction techniques, methodologies, and management principles. Knowledge of Budgeting and cost control with financial awareness of delivery targets Detailed understanding of short interval control and programme management. Understanding of regulatory requirements, British Standards and Building Safety Act. Detailed understanding of construction-based safety protocols and best practices. Knowledge of contract negotiation and procurement Detailed understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes Understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies Understanding of environmental sustainability practices and green building sustainability. Detailed understanding of construction technology and innovation Understanding of digital implementation and integration with construction methods. Understanding of Legal considerations and dispute resolution Experience Involvement in developing and executing work package/ subcontractor budgets. Experience with work packages, subcontractor programmes and sort interval control management Awareness in negotiating contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Self-sufficient in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges during construction projects.
