We have an opportunity for a Cleaner/ Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team in Stokesley, North Yorkshire on a part time basis (20 hours per week). As we offer a 7 day week service the post will include some weekend working to cover colleague annual leave and/or absence. Shifts will be approx. 5 days per week, 4 hrs Working days between 8am - 12noon.
The role
As a valued member of the team, our Domestic Assistants / Cleaners are responsible for providing an efficient and effective cleaning service to designated areas of our Extra Care Scheme to agreed standards within various communal, office and residential settings.
Within this role you will be working with mainly older, vulnerable people in their own homes providing a cleaning and domestic support service which will include laundry, ironing and bed changing. Youll also clean in communal areas such as toilets, bathrooms, corridors and lounges.
What are we looking for:
Previous cleaning experience
Excellent housekeeping skills
Customer care and good interpersonal skills
An understanding of COSHH Regulations with regard to use and storage of cleaning chemicals
The ability to work on own initiative
Experience of working with vulnerable people would be desirable
