Become part of something amazing! We are expanding our Occupational Therapy service which supports adults to maximise their potential within their homes and communities. The post holder will:
* Promote and improve independence of adults in the community by provision of equipment and adaptations, moving with dignity, and interventions.
* Provide person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions to prevent, reduce and delay the need for formal care & support services.
* Have excellent interpersonal skills.
* Be able to work alone and within a team.
* Be able to organise and prioritise workload and balance this with conflicting demands of the role.
One of the posts will be working as an Occupational Therapist within the STEPS team, assessing their double handed care calls, from a proportionate care perspective.
One of the posts will be working within our short stay assessment unit, Positive Steps. This will be to assess people discharged from hospital, through provision of equipment and adaptations, to support them to return to the place they call home.
We welcome applicants who are newly qualified or returning to practice. We have a robust preceptorship scheme which supports accelerated progression within your grade. In addition, we have progression routes from a grade 8 to 9 which support staff to develop clinical expertise and leadership skills, and this can be discussed on commencing the role.
