Job Description
Based in the Corporate Procurement Unit within the Chief Executive’s Department and reporting to an Operational Manager you will lead and have responsibility of the tendering process for a wide range of assigned categories of spend relating to works, goods & services requirements, determining and advising the client of the appropriate procurement sourcing route to market e.g. open procedure, restricted procedure, competitive procedure with negotiation, negotiated Procedure without prior publication, service concessions, dynamic purchasing system etc. This role will provide a unique opportunity to deliver innovation and commercial acumen in the development of robust sourcing strategies in particular the commodities of Financial, Professional and Advertising Services. In addition, the post provides procurement services for Strathclyde Pension Fund for contracts under financial and legal services. These can be complex areas with a wide span of services and supply chains.
