POSITION SUMMARY
Do you have a strong commercial mindset and the expertise to drive sales in a dynamic, fast-growing industry? We are looking for an ambitious and commercially skilled Iceland Commercial Manager to drive strategic plans, achieve sales targets, and launch exclusive products for Iceland. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the plant-based food revolution! The role is full-time, based at Iceland Head Office in Deeside, UK, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute the strategic category plan for Iceland, working within the Iceland range review process to successfully launch innovative plant-based products.
* Drive the LIVEKINDLY Collective (LKC) sales and margin targets within Iceland’s frozen vegan and vegetarian category.
* Develop and implement an Omni-channel trade & promotional plan to boost trial, increase consumption, and encourage repeat purchases.
* Ensure distribution targets are achieved and oversee project delivery across multiple channels, including secondary placement, eCommerce, Uber Eats, and International markets.
* Spearhead the product development of No Meat seasonal lines and exclusive brands, managing projects via the Igloo system and negotiating pricing with third-party suppliers.
* Administer pricing, promotions, new line forms, and forecasting to ensure commercial success.
* Analyze data to measure the effectiveness and ROI of initiatives, using insights to refine strategies.
* Coordinate Iceland’s internal resources, including Development Chefs, Food Technologists, and the wider Technology Team, to deliver outstanding plant-based products.
* Develop a deep understanding of the plant-based category, using market insights to drive Iceland’s performance in frozen vegan and vegetarian foods.

QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 18 months of experience in Buying, Category Management, or National Account Management.
* Strong commercial acumen – this role is a mix of Buying, Category Management, Product Development, and Sales.
* Confidence and resilience to navigate a fast-paced commercial environment, working independently while maintaining focus and motivation.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to generate new ideas and negotiate effectively.
* A keen interest in plant-based food with demonstrable level of excitement to be involved in a truly purpose led organization
* Strong communication skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining successful relationships both internally and externally.
* Highly organized, with excellent time and budget management skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.
