Castle Education is recruiting on behalf of a school for a DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) for a one-day-a-week position, ideally on a Monday or Tuesday, to support the current teacher. This role will continue after Easter and is designed to provide support to students across KS2, KS3, and KS4 in small group settings. Position: DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) Employment Type: Long-term Temporary (One day a week, preferably Monday or Tuesday) Start Date: After Easter Student Age Range: KS2, KS3, and KS4 Student Group Size: Small groups Location: Ripon As a DT Teacher specializing in Resistant Materials, you will work closely with the current teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and support to students with autism. This role requires a subject specialist who can create a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each student. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the current teacher to plan and deliver engaging DT lessons focusing on Resistant Materials. Support students across KS2, KS3, and KS4 in small group settings, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the unique needs of students with autism. Collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies for effectively supporting students with autism in the DT curriculum. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Design and Technology. Specialisation in Resistant Materials with relevant teaching experience. Experience working with students with autism or special educational needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
