We are seeking an Sustainability Co-ordinator to join our Sustainability team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, dynamic, and experienced individual to support the various sustainability strategies, initiatives and programs across our group. This individual will embrace our sustainability culture and be passionate about advancing sustainable priorities in circular economy and climate change. To support the Global Director of Sustainability in the delivery of Making a Digital Difference Sustainability Strategy aligned to UN SDG Goals including social value, sustainable procurement and carbon reduction.
Key tasks will involve:
Execute, coordinate and support projects, programs and strategies identified in the Converge Making a Digital Difference Sustainability Framework and action plan.
Coordinate and support Stone Sustainability Leadership Team and create and manage project controls such as data gathering, management and analytical processes.
Engage and collaborate with internal and external groups of interest and key networks on sustainability matters.
Coordinate the implementation, training, education and awareness of the Making a Digital Difference Framework across the group.
Support the data collection, annual progress reporting and development of key performance indicators such as carbon footprint and social value.
Research and prepare reports, correspondence, oral presentations for prospective community partners, client groups, and internal management teams.
Track new sustainability regulations, disclosures and policies (e.g. single-use plastics, organics, climate change/air quality and international sustainability disclosures).
Consult and work alongside key internal and external stakeholders to establish and promote a project-wide social value delivery plan with clear objectives, milestones and targets
Co-designing Social Value projects identified through Sustainability Leadership Team, and measures to accelerate and support our engagement with key communities, specialist and underrepresented groups and delivering these projects.
Raise the profile of Stone in the delivery of sustainability with external and internal stakeholders.
Create, Import, promote and share good practice models and case studies.
Work with internal communications team to agree appropriate channels and produce content for successful and timely submissions to local, regional and national award panels.
The suitable candidate will have a post-secondary degree from a recognised university or college in sustainability, or related field, demonstrable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in sustainability programs or similar initiatives, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of sustainability policy development, familiarity with environmental legislation, environmental and social sustainability, and community engagement.
They must have strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and research skills, including the ability to effectively handle concurrent projects strategically and creatively under deadlines, strong research, statistical, graphical and numerical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills including strong presentation skills, report writing skills with the ability to liaise effectively with external agencies, stakeholders, and suppliers, demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees in other service areas and countries, internal and external customers (other Converge employees) and the other sectors of the group and high level computer skills including MS Word and Excel.
It is essential to have knowledge and understanding of current and innovative approaches in sustainability, be able to interpret and present data clearly and concisely, excellent presentation, written and verbal communication, organisation, people skills and be self motivated with ability to work on own initiatives
It is also desired but not essential to be experienced in delivering environmental and sustainability actions and projects including carbon measurement, knowledge of the role of programs and public sector agencies to support social mobility, community regeneration and diverse and underrepresented groups, knowledge of the IT sector and project management skills.
Job details:
This is a full time position - 37 hours per week. Part time applications as part of a job share will be reviewed.
The working days are Monday to Friday
