Job Description As the Lead Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical testing of rotating machines and power generation systems for the Marine sector. You will also provide product test support from initial inquiry to project closure. You will perform both hands-on and office-based activities ensuring the timely testing of solutions that are both safe and cost-effective. In this role you will focus on: - Electrical testing of rotating machine systems of the highest quality, from the receipt of an order to handover to the customer. - Verification & validation of functional and transversal requirements of the equipment. - Supporting installation, commissioning, testing, fault finding and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems. - Collaborate with design team to meet project objectives (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost). - Material and sample testing and test house coordination. - Participation in plant control room operations and data acquisition. - Supervision and management of subcontractors during relevant phases of project execution. - Identifying, proposing and rolling out improvements in internal processes, tools, and system solutions. - Maintaining and promoting the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety. - Integration of large electro-mechanical systems to test. - Taking part in phase reviews, design reviews, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) reviews, FMEA. - Producing test reports of the required quality, with adherence to specifications and standards. Essential requirements: - A relevant qualification in electrical engineering, or significant experience in a electrical testing environment. - Sole British citizenship with a valid British Passport ("UK Eyes only"). - EHS and First Aid training and/or certification. - Authorised Person Electrical Low Voltage (APLV). - Proven track record of testing Electro-mechanical systems in a professional engineering environment. - Possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance. What will make you stand out: - High-Voltage (HV) testing experience. - Some experience in project management or project planning. - Prior experience on active magnetic bearings. This role involves work for customers who manage critical infrastructure; based on customer requirements it will be necessary to carry out background checks and suitability assessments (UK BPSS clearance OR UK SC clearance) as part of the hiring process.
