About the role
Role Purpose: Your purpose is to ensure the execution of the RS PRO strategy and refine, build, and improve upon the category management and product strategy, including Quality and business development plans to strengthen and secure growth.
As a key leader on the RS PRO senior leadership team, you will challenge, support, and innovate with your peer group, collaborating to optimise our collective potential. Your decisions will be data-led with the support of data scientists.
Responsibilities
1. Product: You will lead the product management globally, ensuring products return strong ROI and the range of over 80k products is optimised.
2. Business Development: You will ensure effective strategies can be scaled, leading your small team to leverage RS PRO assets.
3. Quality, Ethics, Sustainability, and Compliance: You will support a team to evolve and grow to meet global customer demands.
4. Building trust and collaborating across regions will be vital, communicating closely with Managing Directors across the EMEA region.
5. Evolve the product/category management team through improved processes and working methods.
6. Analysis of data to understand challenges and pivot resources accordingly.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. A minimum of two of the following background areas: Product, Category Management, Supplier Management, Sourcing.
2. Strong all-round experience including two of the following: Finance/P&L management, Business development, Legal, Sales, Brand Management, Continuous improvement, Quality, Economics, Data analyst/Data science, Compliance, Ethics, Consultancy background.
3. Experience in creating strategies and execution.
4. Strong operations skills.
5. Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
6. Currently operating at Director or Senior level.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
1. Continuous improvement or consultancy background.
2. Multilingual is an advantage.
3. Experience or understanding of Brand management, business development.
Essential Qualifications: No educational qualifications necessary; experience and behaviours are more important.
