We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to join the Telecoms finance team with one of our clients in the Infrastructure and Utilities space. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate allocation of costs and recharges between legal entities and specific projects, enabling precise project cost reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost Allocation: Ensure timely and accurate allocation of salaries and other costs to projects.
* Inter-Entity Recharges: Allocate and recharge costs between legal entities within the business.
* Financial Management: Manage prepayments, post month-end journals, and maintain fixed asset registers.
* Banking Transactions: Assist in resolving queries related to banking transactions.
* Intercompany Transactions: Raise monthly recharge entities and reconcile intercompany balances.
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Cost Review: Review overhead costs against budget, investigate variances, and explain them in month-end results.
* Central Functions Support: Answer queries from central functions, including cost coding and reporting.
* Audit and Tax Support: Assist with audit and tax queries.
* Budget Preparation: Provide support in preparing budgets.
* General Finance Duties: Support day-to-day finance duties within the department.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in a similar role.
* Skills: Excellent communication, numerical, and computer literacy skills, with experience in using spreadsheets for financial data.
* Attributes: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with good time management and organizational skills.
* Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong working relationships within the business.
* Studying towards ACCA/CIMA Qualifications
