Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our friendly independent dental practice in Tavistock. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality treatments. We are an independent dental practice based in Tavistock for over 30 years. We pride ourselves in offering the highest standard of private dental care & we have an opportunity to welcome a new nurse to join our close-knit & friendly team. The job will involve working alongside our dentist & hygienists, as well as helping on reception & with sterilisation of instruments when needed.
Duties
* All aspects of dental nursing along with some reception & decontamination when required.
* Assist our team of dentists & hygienists in the day-to-day smooth running of the practice.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance with practice policies.
* Work closely as part of our fun & friendly team.
* Uphold strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment within the practice.
* Utilise IT systems effectively for record keeping and appointment management.
* Communicate clearly with both patients and team members to foster a collaborative working environment.
* Support the dental team in administrative tasks as required, contributing to the overall organisation of the practice.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred, we also welcome applications who are newly qualified.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
* A genuine interest in patient care and a commitment to providing high standards of service.
* Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
