Senior Careers and Industry Placement Lead
College location: This is a Cross-College role that is based both at John Ruskin College (Croydon) and East Surrey College (Redhill)
Salary: £43,596
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 8:45 am - 5 pm
Are you passionate about shaping the future of students through impactful career guidance? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Careers Lead to head our Careers and Industry Placement team!
As Lead of the Careers and Industry Placement team, you will provide line management, support, and direction to these key cross college teams. Using your deep knowledge of national guidance and legislation, as well as quality benchmarks, you will support an effective careers offer and take up across all provision and drive placement completion across T levels and study programmes.
Main responsibilities of this role include:
* Line management of careers and industry placement team
* Work closely with the Vice Principal and Exec Director C&P to deliver the Gatsby benchmarks and Careers Strategy KPI’s
* Promote the College with employers, sector bodies, schools, and the local community, developing effective partnerships with employers, the funding agencies, and other representative bodies
The successful candidate must have:
* Up to date and authoritative knowledge of careers guidance work and developments in Education / FE / HE employment and careers matters
* Confident and engaging manner with prospective partners and employers
* Significant experience and knowledge of the education Sector and employment sectors
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong planning and organisational abilities and great attention to detail
* A minimum of a Diploma in Careers Guidance or relevant specialist careers qualification at Level 6 would be highly desirable
* Maths & English GCSE/Level 2 Equivalent
